"The Business Side of Art"
Bill Bush wants to "educate" the
art community on ways to improve the presentation of their artwork,
increase their profit margin and limit their tax liability.
William E. Bush, CPA, owner and director of
the Fredericksburg Artists' School presents an informative discussion on
the business side of art. With over 30 years of experience Bill brings a
wealth of knowledge and practical information to the art community.
Bill
graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA degree in
accounting in 1969. Mr. Bush spent 22 years with the national accounting
firm of Ernst & Young. His experience includes providing accounting,
and business advisory services to privately owned businesses. He has been
actively involved in providing support services to the legal community.
Mr. Bush has testified before juries and has extensive experience in
mediation and arbitration matters as well as having been deposed on
numerous occasions.
Since 1992, Bill has been serving his own
clients and continues to emphasize serving privately owned businesses and
continues to provide support services to the legal profession. Bill
currently has numerous prominent artists from across the US as clients. He
consults with them on ways to minimize their tax liability while improving
their profit margins
His presentation will include discussion on

For the past 10 years , Bill Bush
has been extremely active in the day to day operation of his wife’s
artistic career from a business standpoint. He handles all non painting
functions for his wife, artist – Nancy Bush. As a result he is uniquely
qualified to discuss all phases of an artist’s career.
